So what is being successful? Being successful can mean countless different thing to different people. For many people it can mean monetary prosperity and independence that can include a exceptional home, vacations travelling the globe, and financial security for them and their kids. For other people it can mean admiration, being seen as a leader and having numerous people looking up to you. It might also mean liberation from the concerns and worries that many people have in their lives.
Being a success can mean happiness in finding pleasure from life and getting to the end of your life knowing that you've enjoyed it to the full in an honest and honourable fashion. Not winning against other people, winning against yourself and your own personal anxieties and limitations. In reality everyone would like to be a success in their life and to have the best that life can offer. Nobody enjoys living in poverty and mediocrity.
Some of the most practical success philosophy ever devised have in fact come from biblical material. Everyone has heard the axiom 'faith can move a mountain'. This is probably true that with adequate faith and dedication one can possibly move a mountain where it might take some time, but the idea that with faith and belief you can achieve everything you want in life is essentially accurate, and has been proved time and time again all the way through history.
If you are confident that you can accomplish something, you have no doubts, and you believe that it will happen so avidly it is virtually as if it already has, that reality begins to expand. I have no idea how this works but it truly does. You tend to find yourself in the right place at the right time, speaking to exactly the type of person who can assist you, or finding yourself in a situation that you would find impossible to imagine, but that aids you gradually toward your desired goals.
Now I'm not one for mumbo-jumbo and giving people false hope, but this has beyond doubt worked in my life and can work in yours. You just need to educate yourself to think in that way. You can always tell who the positive people are. They walk with their heads held high and with spring and swiftness in their stride. It's evident that they know where they're heading and are not just aimlessly moving through life with no direction. On the other hand you can see the individual who has no direction or desire. They commonly walk with a stoop, failing to raise their feet properly off the ground, and mumbling rather than talking clearly. It's as if the whole weight of the planet is on the shoulders, and to them it feels like it is. What sort of person do you want to be?
So begin by behaving more positively in your life. At first you could need to lie to yourself. Tell yourself it's a fantastic day, that things are wonderful, and that you will achieve your goals. Tell yourself time and time again. Every time you speak these words you are training your mind. Training yourself to the extent that in the future you will come to believe these things. I'm not talking about giving yourself fake hope for the sake of it, but helping you to shift away from the pessimistic feelings you have towards a more optimistic outlook.
Each morning tell yourself how fortunate you are to be alive, what a superb day it is, and how thankful you are for your wellbeing, your family, and all the good things you have in your life. This will prove a great start towards overcoming your anxieties and worries for the future, and changing yourself into a person who knows that they can succeed. Good Luck.
